7 Feb 2008 - Sports Update

On Monday, the boys 5-a-side football tournament took place at GL1.

In our first game against Coney Hill, Max was in brilliant form using wall passes to beat players before thundering a shot against the cross bar.  We took the lead with a fine goal from him but they equalised to make the final score 1-1.

In our second game against Grange we stormed into a 2-0 lead with goals from Luke and myself but let in 2 goals and the game finished 2-2.

In our final game against top side Dinglewell, we took the lead again with a coolly taken penalty by myself.  Although Max, Jordan and myself battled heroically, we ended losing the game 2-1 with a goal in the last 5 seconds.

Although we missed out on reaching the finals with only 1 team going through from our group, we gave 3 really good performances.
