Yesterday we played Coney Hill in the semi-final of the small schools Plate trophy at Robinswood.
We got off to a fine start when quick passing left Shane with just the goalie to beat. He made no mistake and blasted us into a 1 – 0 lead.
Following an excellent through ball, Max took on all the defence to make it 2 – 0.
In the second half Coney Hill hit back to make it 2 – 1 before Shane scored his second to make it 3 – 1 to us.
Luke Ohren took up a great position to power a great goal from outside the box before Coney Hill replied to make the score 4 – 2.
In the final minutes Tom Bassett looked up, saw the goalie off his line and scored with a brilliant chip over his head to make the final score Brockworth 5 Coney Hill 2 and send us through to our first final for 7 years.
Man of the match was the team, because everyone was outstanding!
